Although, this may be a hard one to achieve but establishing some form of co-parenting boundaries while in a new relationship might do the trick. Recommend response time that is fairly acceptable. This effectively handles expectation and minimises pressure. For instance, agree to reply within 24 hours of the message being received except in a case of an emergency.
Avoid discussing any issues that are not related to the children. This is against the unity and well-being of the children and your new partner; therefore, don’t speak of past problems or your new partner.
